cartoon network's chop socky chooks

I've been seeing promos on Cartoon Network for this rather awful-looking new show called Chop Socky Chooks. The name alone is pretty damn cringe-worthy, but look at those caricatures. In Australia and other parts of the world, "chook" is apparently slang for chicken, which is what I guess these weird-looking characters are supposed to be. Forgive me for thinking that "chook" just sounds too much like a racial slur.

If you couldn't figure it out, the show is about a trio of kung fu kickin' chickens—Chick P, KO Joe and Chuckie Chan, "undercover heroes protecting the citizens of Wasabi World, a city-sized shopping mall run by the evil Dr. Wasabi." Ugh. Expect lots of wonderfully stereotypical Asian imagery. The show premieres this Friday, March 7 on Cartoon Network. I don't think I'll be tuning in.
