when hollywood rips off south korea
Hot on the heels of last week's news that Steven Spielberg and Will Smith were in talks to collaborate on a Hollywood remake of Oldboy here's a blog post with an interesting roundup of other hit South Korean films that have been remade, announced or are in the works: When Hollywood Rips Off South Korea.

I'm still shaking my head over the Oldboy news. And the My Sassy Girl remake starring Elisha Cuthbert (which eventually went straight to DVD) was a bad idea from day one. But the one that makes no freaking sense to me is the proposed remake of JSA. To be honest, I hope most of these projects remain in development limbo... (Thanks, Jaeki.)
