This doesn't really have anything to do with Asian Americans, but according to this Associated Press article,
yellow will apparently be the influential color of 2009:
Yellow expected as a bright spot for 2009. Pantone, which provides color standards to design industries, specifically names "mimosa," a vibrant shade of yellow, the "symbolic color of the future." Recognize, suckas. It's all about yellow.
