first look: jang dong-kun in the warrior's way

Holy moly. The internet has been blessed with thisrather kickass promo trailer for The Warrior's Way, a crazy-looking pseudo-western samurai action fantasy flick starring Jang Dong-Kun, Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston and Geoffrey Rush: Must Watch: Awesome Promo Trailer for The Warrior's Way.

The movie is written and directed by Korean filmmaker Sngmoo Lee, and produced by Barrie M. Osborne, who did the Lord of the Rings trilogy. If I'm not mistaken, this is the movie once described around here as Laundry Warrior, and previously believed to be a remake of Seven Samurai. I don't think that's the case anymore.

For a trailer, pretty awesome. It looks like it could be kind of bad or kind of badass. According to FirstShowing.net, the movie was was shot in late 2007 in New Zealand and is currently in post-production with Weta Digital working on some visual effects. It doesn't have a distributor or a release date yet, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
