I received this from a reader who was overseas in Sweden recently, and snapped this photo in the candy aisle. A candy bar called "Kina." Ah, a tried and true packaging strategy -- racist caricature designs! Those crazy Swedes.

I'm assuming the eyes and conical hat are meant to indicate the caricature is Asian. It seems that wherever you go in the world, the international caricature for "Oriental" consistently seems to be a smiling, slant-eyed cartoon face. That's racist! (Thanks, "akindofblue.")

UPDATE: I'm informed that Fazer, the company that manufactures the Kina candy bar, is not Swedish, but actually Finnish. Those crazy Finns.
