Take a look at the official music video for "Wake Up" by Dawen Wang. The song is the first single off of Dawen's debut LP American Me, which drops digitally on September 9 (09.09.09!), with CDs available on September 12.

If the rest of the album is anything like "Wake Up," or his EP, it should be good stuff -- smooth, groovy vocals and thoughtful lyrics. Can't wait to hear it.

If you're in Los Angeles, make sure you mark your calendars for Dawen's American Me CD Release Party, happening Saturday, September 12 at the Dakota Lounge. It's going to be a fun night of soul/R&B music with special guest performers Vudoo Soul, Sue Jin and host Lina So.
