taiwanese american artists for typhoon relief

Here's Emily and Susan Hsu, the rad twin sister frontgirls of Exit Clov, doing a little video to raise awareness and money Typhoon Morakot victims in Taiwan. It's a performance of a Taiwanese song called "Ai-Biahnh Jia-eh Eianh." They apparently had a goal of getting 500 views, but as I write this, they've already gotten over 8,000!

Their fundraising is part of a larger effort taking place in the Taiwanese American community benefiting those who have been devastated by Typhoon Morakot. In Taiwan, the death toll will surpass 500, and more than a thousand are still stranded in remote mountain villages.

TaiwaneseAmerican.org has been organizing and promoting some of the ways people can contribute or help. Through the end of the month:
  • Buy a t-shirt from TaiwaneseAmerican.org and proceeds will support Taiwanese typhoon relief

  • Support Taiwanese American artists & performers as they help fundraise

  • Attend typhoon relief fundraisers/mixers hosted by Taiwanese American Professionals organizations/chapters

  • Make direct contributions to organizations and charities listed
Exit Clov is just one of the many artists and performers who are pitching in, including Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai, Dawen, Johnny Hi-Fi, Shawna Yang Ryan, Cynthia Lin, Jerry Ma, and many others. But their stuff, and they'll contribute a portion to typhoon relief in Taiwan. More more information on what you can do to help, visit TaiwaneseAmerican.org.
