kid star of the motel is all growns up

Whoa. Look who's all growns up and gone to college. Jeffrey Chyau, who played the awkward pre-pubescent kid in Michael Kang's 2005 indie film The Motel, is now a student at the University of South Alabama: Star of 'The Motel' Plans Future Outside of Film.

My favorite part is where he describes what he learned from the cast and crew of The Motel: "He saw how hard they worked for the sole benefit of loving what they did. They all had degrees from prestigious colleges but made very little money."

Jeffrey's now pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor, with no plans of returning to Hollywood anytime soon. Acting is apparently his backup plan. Smart kid.
