mark keam wins delegate seat in virginia
Election news out of Virginia... After an extremely close election, it looks like Democrat Mark Keam is the first Asian American elected to Virginia's House of Delegates. Here's the news over at the AAA-Fund Blog: Mark Keam Wins!

How close was it? As of today, 2:46pm EST, unofficial results say Keam beat Repbulican Jim Hyland by a mere 354 votes.

Keam, a former chief counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, defeated Hyland, 51 percent to 49 percent. Keam will represent the 35th District, which lies in the heart of Fairfax County in northern Virginia. The district's Asian American population is about 10 percent.
